Registration takes place online on time to. It takes less than five minutes and you will get a confirmation e-mail straight away. After creating your account (or logging in), you just need to fill in the form and make a secure payment.
The race is open to everyone, including riders who do not hold a competitive cycling licence, who is 18 years or older in 2020.

Once you have completed the registration process, you will receive two e-mails: a registration confirmation and a payment confirmation. A tab with the name of the event will also appear on your personal time to account.

You need to request a refund within the period going from two months before the event to 15 days after the event:
- If you purchased a race number or package, send your request to email@example.com.
Refunds will be made by bank transfer within two months after the event. If your refund request is accepted, only the race number will be refunded. Any options you have chosen when signing up will not be refunded.
To execute the cancellation, process the participant must send an email to the organization (firstname.lastname@example.org) communicating the unwilling to participate.
The refund will be made through the same payment system, so the amount will be credited to the account of the card with which the payment was made.

For those registered between 11/03/2020 and 17/05/2020:
Due to the postponement of the test because of the health crisis of the Covid-19 and exceptionally, all participants who have made their registration between 11/03/2020 and 17/05/2020 may request the cancellation and refund 100% of the amount paid for their registration and products purchased.
How to request cancellation and refund?
In order to execute the cancellation, process the participant must send an e-mail to the organization (email@example.com) communicating the cancellation before 30/09/2020.
The refund will be made through the same payment system, that is, the amount will be credited to the account of the card with which the payment was made.
The Organization will refund the amount from 30/09/2020 and up to 1 month after the celebration of the event.
Any cancellation produced after 30/09/2020 will not be entitled to any kind of refund.
Race numbers can be retrieved from the Village in Villanueva del Pardillo on the following dates and times:
- Friday 20 November 2020 from 11 am to 9 pm
No race numbers will be handed out on Saturday 21 November before the start of L’Étape Spain by Tour de France.
Race numbers, plates and timing devices (chips) will be handed out on presentation of:
- Your QR code (sent by e-mail and available on your personal time to account)
- Your ID
- Your medical certificate if it has yet to be validated by the organisers on time to or you have yet to upload it

Race numbers will be issued a few weeks before the event and handed out as explained above. You will receive an e-mail reminder to download the document with the numbers.
Medical certificate and rules
Yes. Before 16 October 2020, you have to present a valid medical certificate issued less than a year ago that explicitly states that you are fit to practise competitive cycling.

To save time and avoid stress, upload your certificate to your time to and make sure it is valid. Under your registration for L’Étape Spain by Tour de France you will find a section to upload your medical certificate and check whether it has been validated. When its status appears as “pending” it means the organisation has yet to validate the file. You will receive an e-mail once it has been validated or rejected. Keep in mind that the size limit is 1 MB.
It is not mandatory because registration must be carried out by an adult on the online registration platform. The electronic signature of the main individual will be taken into account. Keep in mind that you must be 18 years old in 2020.
The deadline for uploading the medical certificate is 16 October 2020. No exceptions will be made. You will receive an automatic e-mail stating whether your certificate has been validated or rejected.
All the types of bicycles approved by the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation except for electric bicycles. Recumbent bicycles and aero bars are not allowed.
Yes, a rigid helmet is mandatory. The helmet must be worn and properly fastened throughout the event. Failure to wear a properly fastened helmet will result in disqualification from the race.
You are required to bring a helmet, a water bottle, a repair kit with two tubular tyres or inner tubes, and a pump for fixing punctures.

The event will be timed and finishing orders will be established.
You may get disqualified at any point in the event. The broom wagon will stick to the established schedule. Any cyclist overtaken by this vehicle (which will be equipped with a stopwatch) at any point on the course will be disqualified from the event.
Several organisation vehicles will mark the “back of the race”. If you are disqualified, you will be asked to take an alternate route or head towards one of the areas where you will be picked up by a bus/lorry that will take you and your bicycle to the finish.
